Job Details

The Interoperability group utilizes massive amounts of data to proactively identify and solve barriers to optimal authentication performance. Our results and insights drive business value across our Centinel (merchant) and VCAS (issuer) platforms.

You will use rich data analytics, alongside advanced knowledge of ecommerce authentication and Cardinal’s products, to solve business challenges for our issuer and merchant clients. The focus is on proactively identifying ways to increase authentication success rates and reduce friction, collaborating internally and externally across the ecosystem to address barriers to optimal performance.

You will work on highly visible projects and have a significant, positive impact on our clients, Cardinal products and solutions, and the global authentication ecosystem. This role will work extensively with a diverse set of stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

  • Support and own the strategy, planning, and execution of optimization initiatives, which entails solving complex product and payment ecosystem challenges through a diverse set of work streams.
  • Develop platform and client monitoring using various data tools, primarily Databricks and Kibana, to ensure Interoperability has proper visibility into key performance metrics.
  • Conduct recurring health checks using established monitoring to proactively detect performance issues and investigate any findings accordingly.
  • Proactively hypothesize potential performance barriers, define analytical objectives, and analyze disparate data sources to research hypotheses.
  • Collaborate with GCS teams to identify root causes of our most complex client and product performance issues with a focus on analyzing the issue’s possible impact across our network.
  • Partner with account teams to analyze client authentication performance against best practices with a shrewd eye towards identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Track and manage resolution process of identified issues across a complex network of stakeholders.
  • Create and deliver presentations of complex data and insights for internal stakeholders in an accurate, understandable, and engaging manner.

What We Need You To Have:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology discipline.
  • In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent with four or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in business planning, consulting, data science, or client management roles.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience working with data using SQL.
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and persuasively influence internal constituents.

What We'd Love You To Have:

  • Payments industry experience or an affinity for payments technology.
  • Knowledge of EMV 3DS and authentication transaction flows.
  • High level of proficiency manipulating data from a variety of sources.
  • Data visualization experience with tools like Kibana.
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot transaction logs.

This position can be performed in a remote work arrangement for any candidate located outside the greater Cleveland area, or any Visa office. To foster community, connection, and collaboration, it is expected that candidates within a 50 mile commute of our Mentor, Ohio location adhere to a hybrid working model.   Hybrid work is also expected for any candidate within a 50 mile commute of a Visa office.  This hybrid model includes in office and work from home days each week.
